A huge thank you to Steve Nine Elms in for giving us some free Easter eggs for our staff at the end of a very challenging week. We greatly appreciate the work you and your colleagues are doing at this time.

Starting Year 7 - Transition 2020

HeadDear Year 6 Students, Parents and Carers,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Harris Academy Battersea.

These extraordinary times call for a change in the way that traditionally our Year 6 transition is done. This page is designed to provide you with all of the information that will help you make a smooth transition to Harris Academy Battersea for the 2020/21 academic year.

On this page you’ll find all the things you need to be ready to start school in September. There’ll be lots of information and videos to make you feel at home along with challenges for you to complete while you are not in school.

Many of you will be excited to start but maybe a little nervous about how secondary school is different to your primary school. Not to worry, this is a perfectly natural way to feel.

It is important that both parents and students feel supported and informed through the transition to secondary school. If you have any queries, please do email the school at, with 'Transition' as the subject, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Kind regards,

Miss Leigh, Principal

Jude, Year 7, talks about settling is at HABS
