Starting Year 7 - Wellbeing Challenges
Hello Year 6 students! My name is Mrs Schranz and each week I'm going to be setting you a Wellbeing Challenge to help you stay mentally healthy during this lockdown.
You'll also find lots of videos on this page so you can see for yourself what it's like to study at Harris Academy Battersea, so you'll feel really at home when you start in September. We can't wait to meet you!

Wellbeing challenge - my ideal black curriculum
We want to include more black people, and more black history, into our lessons at HABS. If you could be in charge, what would you teach in each subject? We will read all of your answers and try to include your suggestions as we plan our lessons.
Click here to download an information sheet (Word doc) and use it to write down your ideas.
You'll find some suggestions to inspire you too. Please send this document back to me at E.Schranz@harrisbattersea.org.uk so that I can read all of your ideas, and pass them on to our teachers!
You may not study all of these subjects at the moment, but you can still make suggestions if you have ideas. If you can’t think of something for every subject, that is OK as well.
Happy Wellbeing!
Mrs Schranz

Winner! Well done to Shayma for winning with a FANTASTIC letter! Our favourite line was: "One day, I hope that females will not be judged as they sometimes are now and that women and girls will be held in the same esteem as the men and boys of the world.” There will be a prize waiting for you on arrival in September, Shayma!
