Retweetd From THE PECKHAM PECULIAR

Amgad Salih, a 19 year old student from Peckham who is studying at the University of Oxford, shared this picture that his friend organised. They recreated the typical Oxford Bullingdon picture but with black students, to show black representation and inspire more Peckham people. https://t.co/F5L6ugILzz

Virtual Learning – Spring 2021 Update

From Monday 18th January we are making some small changes to our remote provision. Please see below for details.

As you will see we are expanding our provision of live lessons - our expectations of behaviour remain extremely high regardless of the type of lesson. Please see the link here for Remote Working Etiquette and Behaviour Poster for live lessons.

Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9)

What is staying the same for Key Stage 3:

  • Lesson start times will remain the same as in school and so far in remote provision
  • Pupils will continue to be registered within the first 10 minutes of each remote lesson

What is changing for Key Stage 3:

  • Each timetabled lesson will reduce to a period of 1 hour. This will give our younger students breaks in-between lessons.
  • In addition to timetabled lessons KS3 students will spend 30 minutes per day developing their literacy skills through Bedrock Vocabulary.
  • In addition to timetabled lessons KS3 students will spend 30 minutes per day developing their numeracy skills through Hegarty Maths.
  • All years will have a video assembly posted on a Monday during personal development time.
  • Two personal development sessions per week will be dedicated to enrichment activities.
  • There will be an increase in the provision of live lessons in KS3.

Please see the daily schedule for pupils in years 7, 8 and 9 below.

  • Lesson start times and lesson length will remain the same as in school and so far in remote provision – see class timetables
  • Pupils will continue to be registered within the first 10 minutes of each remote lesson

What is changing for Key Stage 4 and 5:

  • There will be an increase in the provision of live lessons in KS4 and KS5.
  • For any live lesson there is a maximum time limit on the section of the lesson that is live of 50 minutes. Keeping a cap on screen time and allowing time for developing independent work during lessons.
