Ofsted

Ofsted Outstanding OP Colour

In 2023, Ofsted visited the Academy and judged us as remaining "Outstanding".

Since opening in 2014 and our first full inspection in 2018 during which the Academy was judged to be Outstanding in all areas, Harris Academy Battersea has sought to provide an outstanding, truly comprehensive and inclusive education in the heart of London.

We are therefore delighted to share the result of our most recent Ofsted report.

The inspectors have given our school an extremely positive report in which they have praised many aspects of our provision.  They have highlighted the ‘exceptionally high quality of education’ provided at Harris Academy Battersea and recognise that ‘all pupils achieve very highly’. They praised the quality of our curriculum as well as the many extracurricular opportunities available to pupils.

Most pleasingly, the inspectors were highly impressed by our pupils themselves, who they found to be ‘articulate, kind and enthusiastic to learn’.  They emphasised that ‘Behaviour in the school is very strong’. As always, I was incredibly proud of how our pupils conducted themselves during the inspection and this judgement is testament to their exemplary behaviour, positive attitudes and high aspirations for themselves.

Overall, we are thrilled that inspectors got the chance to see the aspirational young people ready to thrive in a changing world that we seek to develop here at HABS.

You can read the full report here, and some highlights are provided below.

The Academy's page on Ofsted's website, where the report is also published, can be found here.
