Year 7 and 8 students competed in the Wandsworth Sportshall Athletics competition

Year 7 and 8 students competed in the Wandsworth Sportshall Athletics competition

Year 7 and 8 students attended and competed in the Wandsworth Sportshall Athletics competition against ten other secondary schools from across the borough. All teams performed strongly, with the Year 7 boys, Year 7 girls, and Year 8 boys finishing 5th overall, and the Year 8 girls achieving an excellent 4th place.

Throughout the competition, students demonstrated Harris Academy Battersea’s values of resilience, knowledge, and integrity. They showed resilience by competing with determination across a demanding range of events, applied their knowledge effectively in both track and field disciplines, and displayed integrity through fair play, respect for officials, and positive sportsmanship.

The students represented the academy with pride and teamwork, and the event provided a valuable competitive experience. Their performances and conduct were a credit to the school, and we look forward to building on this success in future competitions.
