We aim to offer a broad range of subjects to support all of our students to thrive in a changing world and to reach their potential, regardless of what their aspirations are. Students can and do take a combination of both A Level and vocational courses as long as the timetable permits and entry requirements are met.

A Level
A Level courses are studied over two years. Exact course specifications can be discussed with your subject teacher or Head of Sixth Form. Please note that a minimum of grade 7 at GCSE in either your chosen subject or a related subject is required.
Students joining our sixth form can choose between the following A Level courses.

Vocational courses
These have been designed to develop application skills as well as foster deep knowledge. They will appeal to students who learn theory best through developing practical skills and are excited by the content. Minimum entrance requirements for these courses are merits in level 2 vocational courses plus five GCSE good passes (5+) and a strong commitment to the subject.
We also offer vocational courses (either a Cambridge Advanced Nationals or a Cambridge Technical with OCR) all equivalent to 1 A-Levels:

All pupils who have not attained a grade 4 or above in English (language or literature) and/or Maths at GCSE are required retake these exams until they pass. We will support you to do this on a one-to-one or small group basis, in recognition of the fact that these qualifications are so crucial to future success. We are absolutely committed to helping students achieve these qualifications.
