Personal Development

Our Personal Development Programme

At the heart of our school ethos is a commitment to developing confident, well-rounded young people who are equipped to thrive both in education and in life. Our extensive Personal Development (PD) programme offers every student a broad and enriching experience that nurtures their character, ambition, and sense of responsibility.

Across the school, students engage in a diverse range of opportunities including Form Time activities, PSHE lessons, Read to Succeed sessions, enrichment clubs, educational trips, student leadership roles, and a wealth of extra‑curricular experiences. Together, these strands encourage students to explore new interests, build resilience, and develop key life skills.

In the Sixth Form, the PD curriculum is structured around half‑termly themes—Relationships, Self‑Improvement, Careers, Culture & Destination, and Charity—ensuring students receive targeted guidance as they prepare for adulthood and their future pathways.

Our programme is continually strengthened by impactful, real-world experiences. Recent opportunities have included St John Ambulance First Aid trainingCooking and Nutrition workshopsSTEM cell donation registration eventsChelsea Football Academy employability sessionsBake Sale charity fundraising, school-wide reading initiatives such as Atomic Habits, and inspiring events like the Jack Petchey: Talk the Talk communication day.

Through this rich provision, our students are empowered with the knowledge, confidence, and curiosity to shape their own futures. With a plethora of opportunities available, every learner is supported to foster their passions, broaden their understanding of the world, and secure success—both now and beyond their time at school.
