Chelsea's Football Tournament

A group of Year 8 boys and a group of Year 8 and 9 girls attended a football skills workshop and tournament at Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham.

The day began with students creating their own goal celebrations—some of which were incredibly creative and entertaining, and certainly worthy of professional players! They then moved on to a series of skills workshops, where they were put through their paces with challenges such as first touch, passing, and crossbar accuracy. Each student had multiple attempts, with their scores recorded throughout.

After a short break, the HABS teams took part in the tournament. Both teams delivered excellent performances, demonstrating great resilience and teamwork.

The Year 8 and 9 girls were outstanding, winning all of their matches comfortably. At the end of the day, they were awarded certificates and, as tournament winners, have progressed to the next stage later in the year.

Special congratulations to Raudha (Year 8), who won both the first touch and passing challenges, earning two certificates and two Chelsea-branded hats. Further recognition goes to Andre and Kaydee-Anne, who were named Players of the Tournament and received Chelsea memorabilia.
