Robotics Club - Final Session
Year 9 students taking part in the Amazon-sponsored Robotics Club programme successfully completed their course yesterday with an exciting final challenge and judging event.
Working in teams, students designed, built and programmed Lego Spike robots capable of detecting obstacles and sorting coloured cubes into the correct piles. The challenge showcased the creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills that students have developed throughout the programme.
Congratulations to Team Innovation – Emily, Mateo, Chen Xu, Hossein and Cameron – who impressed the judges with their robot's performance and were crowned the overall winners. As a reward for their excellent work, each team member received a Lego set as a prize.
We are also excited to be visiting the Amazon warehouse tomorrow, where students will have the opportunity to see how robotics and automation are used in real-world delivery processes. It will be a fantastic chance to connect what they have learned in the programme with industry applications.
A huge thank you to Amazon for sponsoring the programme, providing expert judges, and helping to inspire the next generation of engineers, programmers and innovators.
Well done to all the students who took part – your enthusiasm, dedication and teamwork have been outstanding!
