HABS Student Takes Part in Level The Pitch Event at #MerkyHQ
Inigo Perez recently had the exciting opportunity to take part in Level The Pitch, a five-a-side football tournament and interactive event held at #MerkyHQ. The event was delivered in partnership with the Attorney General’s Office and its Young Ambassador Programme.
This was no ordinary football tournament! Alongside playing small-sided matches, students took part in three activities designed to challenge their thinking both on and off the pitch, offering an insight into law, politics and the justice system.
The activities included:
-
Matches with a Twist: Students played small-sided football matches where the rules could change during the game, giving teams unexpected advantages or disadvantages. This challenged them to adapt, communicate and think strategically.
-
Courtroom Escape Room: Working together as a team, students solved four puzzles exploring fairness, the law and how the court system works.
-
CtRoL App: Students were among the first to try the CtRoL app ahead of its public launch. The app aims to help young people understand their rights and how the law affects their everyday lives.
The event provided a fantastic opportunity to combine sport, teamwork and learning, while encouraging students to think about important issues that affect young people.
Well done to Inigo for getting involved and making the most of this exciting opportunity!
