The HABS boys were in action yesterday against a strong Harris Wimbledon side. The boys rose to the challenge and delivered an excellent performance, securing a hard-fought 45–40 victory in a close, nail-biting game.

HMRC came in to host an informative workshop for our Sixth Form students. Victoria and Jonny, from HMRC, explained what the tax system does and what the social implications are. It is great to develop life skills, such as this, with our students!

On Tuesday evening staff and Sixth Form students came together for a heartwarming Christmas celebration filled with food, reflection, music, and festive cheer. The evening began with a delicious spread of food generously donated by staff and students.

Today marks the last day of Anti-Bullying Week, and we’re learning how to recognise when someone might be experiencing bullying. Look out for changes in mood, behaviour, confidence, or friendships and always speak to a trusted adult if you’re worried about someone. Video

Timings of the Day

All students in Years 7 to 11 will arrive at the Academy at the same time via the back gate entrance off Dagnall Street. Students in the Sixth Form will arrive via the side entrance off Culvert Road

Students are welcome to come along and enjoy a free breakfast from 8:10am till 8:30am.

Students are expected to be in school for 8:10am so that we can complete uniform and equipment checks so that they are organised for the day.

We are open until 17:00, where the students can access the after-school clubs including homework club. Students have 33 hours per week of curriculum time. 

Students arriving to school after 8:25am, but before form register closes at 9am are recorded as L (late arrival) in the school register. Students arriving after 9am are recorded as U (absent) for the morning in the school register.
