We develop aspirational young people to thrive in a changing world
The development of our students academically, personally and professionally is at the heart of everything we do at Harris Academy Battersea.
We are absolutely committed to ensuring that every young person attending Harris Battersea leaves us with the highest possible ambitions for their future, ready to achieve great things. We have the highest expectations of every child and want them to leave us not just with an excellent set of qualifications, but also as rounded and resilient young people with great character.
This vision is encapsulated in our mission statement: ‘We develop aspirational young people to thrive in a changing world’.
Our core values of Knowledge, Integrity and Resilience underpin this vision and form an integral part of students' daily school life. Students should leave us with these core values instilled, to enable them to thrive in all stages of their lives.
Equally, we wish for our school and young people to serve the community and to be a school that the community is proud to have on its doorstep.
The values of Knowledge, Integrity and Resilience embody the qualities we expect to see in our young people.

Through our Academic Curriculum and Personal Development Curriculum all students are inducted into these values and learn about them, their histories, and students’ own role in championing them in order to build a better society. Students live these values through a wide range of opportunities including electing our student council, promoting diversity through our annual Culture Day and their day to day demonstration of HABS Character virtues.
