Today marks the last day of Anti-Bullying Week, and we’re learning how to recognise when someone might be experiencing bullying. Look out for changes in mood, behaviour, confidence, or friendships and always speak to a trusted adult if you’re worried about someone.

Our Air Our Action! Wandsworth Local Authority are working with MP Smarter Travel to inspire student to travel sustainably around Wandsworth. They presented the 'Our Air Our Action' sustainable travel assembly, holding a workshop after!

Our new members of HABS Book Club and our Student Librarians enjoyed the excitement of a book hunt to find the first book of a series to take home with them! We are very grateful to Amazon for providing us with 256 new books and their volunteers who helped.

World Book Day Celebrations 2023 - Pictures

We had lots of fun at HABS celebrating World Book Day on Friday 3rd March, with competitions, free book vouchers, discussions about our favourite books and prizes for students who could find the characters from famous novels amongst the school staff! 

Well done to all the students who found The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Matilda, Samwise Gamgee and Sherlock Holmes amongst their teachers, to name a few.

This week also saw the launch of BookBuzz for Year 7.  All Year 7 students received a free copy of a newly published novel, and the challenge is now on to see which Year 7 can finish their book and then swap with their friends and read more, until we have a winning student who has read any five of the BookBuzz selection - they will receive a £20 Amazon voucher for their reading efforts, and there will be plenty of runner up prizes for those who are close behind.
