The HABS boys were in action yesterday against a strong Harris Wimbledon side. The boys rose to the challenge and delivered an excellent performance, securing a hard-fought 45–40 victory in a close, nail-biting game.

HMRC came in to host an informative workshop for our Sixth Form students. Victoria and Jonny, from HMRC, explained what the tax system does and what the social implications are. It is great to develop life skills, such as this, with our students!

On Tuesday evening staff and Sixth Form students came together for a heartwarming Christmas celebration filled with food, reflection, music, and festive cheer. The evening began with a delicious spread of food generously donated by staff and students.

HMRC Tax Session

Students took part in an engaging HMRC tax session, where they developed a greater understanding of taxation, payslips, and the responsibilities of individuals and businesses.

The session supported business learning by helping students understand how tax affects business costs, profits, and compliance with government regulations. Additionally, students were also exposed to how tax is used to fund public services. Through real-life examples and interactive discussion, students developed a clearer understanding of their financial responsibilities as future employees and business owners. This real-world insight strengthened students’ financial literacy and helped them see the practical importance of tax knowledge in business decision-making.
