Harris Academy Battersea Celebrates Brilliant GCSE Outcomes
Harris Academy Battersea’s Year 11 cohort are celebrating a fantastic set of GCSE results this summer.
This summer, 70% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in both English and Maths, while 55% achieved grade 5 or above in both subjects – a reflection of the hard work, ambition, and resilience shown by pupils.
Among many exceptional individual performances:
- Elvis (Chan) Tsz Ki achieved 8 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s
- Yehor Yemelianov achieved 5 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s and 2 grade 7s
- James Cousins achieved 3 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s and 3 grade 7s
- Rhianna Addison-Obuhoro achieved 2 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s and a Distinction*
- Aasr Al Tukhaifi achieved 2 grade 9s and 4 grade 8s
- Noor Elkorishy achieved 2 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s
- Javen Zilvester achieved 2 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s
Of special mention are the fantastic results achieved by Naim-Jordan Mckenzie-Pryce, who after suffering an accident resulting in life-changing injuries and missing all of Year 10 and half of Year 11, achieved an exceptional 6 in English, 5 in Maths and 5 in French. Naim-Jordan’s resilience and fortitude has been truly inspirational since his return to the Academy in early 2025.
Principal Charlie Comerford praised Year 11’s achievements, saying:
“We are extremely proud of our students and all they have achieved. These results are the outcome of years of resilience and dedication, and show what can be accomplished when determination and excellent teaching come together. We are especially pleased to see so many of our students securing the grades needed to progress onto their next steps with confidence. Many will be staying here at our outstanding Sixth Form and we’re excited to see what they achieve next.
I’d like to praise the commitment of staff and families in supporting our students through their Key Stage 4 studies. The Academy's mission is to enable our students to thrive in a changing world. Following our exceptional A level results last week, these results are once again clear evidence that students thrive at HABS!”
