Result(s)

Lost 5-3

Star Player(s)

Ramaine

Brief match report

Much improved performance from the boys and were unlucky to be the losing side. Harris were 2-1 down at half time and with a bit more clinical finishing at the start of the second half could have been 3-2 ahead. Unfortunately, injuries in the second half meant the defence had to be switched and in the last 10 mins the boys conceded 2 goals to lose the game. Still a much-improved performance that we can take heart from.

Brief Match Report

Team A

A very unlucky evening for Team A, with everyone left wondering how we lost two of the 3 games. In both 1-0 defeats the boys dominated the game and missed a host of chances. Especially the third game where the opposition only had one shot and scored to win the game. What was pleasing especially in the 4-1 win was the way they passed the ball and the football played in all 3 games was a high standard.

Team B

3 draws in the group wasn’t enough for team B to qualify but the boys can be proud of their efforts. At times they played good football, but these results came from their hard work and energy. Unfortunately, the achilles heel of the team on this day was the defending. Too many times all 5 outfield players ran to get involved going forward leaving space for the other team to break into and this is what ultimately transferred wins into draws.

Brief Match Report

In the first game for both teams they made silly mistakes that led them to lose the game. Team A worked well to come back and draw their second game and was unfortunate to not win it. Even though Team B did not win any games, they showed real determination and resilience to improve on their game and was unfortunate to not win their last three games. Both teams were upset and frustrated with their performances and has move to improve on.

Boys Basketball Tournament – Southfields

Date

Wednesday 13th November 2019

Team

Aaron M, Joel O, Rinneau P, Rashuan T-M, Jaelan C and Mason W-D.

Result (s)

2nd Game – Won 4-3

Star Player (s)

Brief Match Report

The boys worked well as a team and showed so much effort and resilience even when they were losing in the first game. Even though they lost the first game, they did well to come back from 5-0 down to 6-4. They improved for the second game and had more energy and desire to work harder to win the ball back. They were a credit to the school.
